Hello!

Born and raised in West Tennessee, I came to love literature and writing while sitting in a classroom led by a teacher whose passion made me keenly aware of language's power and beauty.  My hope is to share that passion with your student.

I am a wife to Carl, a mother to 3 children (in a few months, it will be 3 teenagers!), and I've been a homeschool mom for 5 years. Prior to life as a homeschool mom, I taught high school English at an international school in Singapore, and before that, I worked as an adjunct professor at Union University teaching Freshman English.

I earned my Bachelor's Degree (English) from Mississippi State University and went on to pursue my Master's Degree (English/Creative Writing) at Iowa State University.

I'm excited about this new adventure with Jackson Tutorial and hope to help your students gain an appreciation for literature and a love of writing.
